Interventional Neurology
Interventional Neurology is a sub-specialty using minimally invasive and image-based technologies / procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of disease of blood vessels of the brain and spinal cord (Neurovascular Diseases). These include ischaemic strokes, haemorrhagic strokes, brain aneurysm and malformations of blood vessels supplying the brain and spinal cord using Coiling, Stenting and Embolization.
Broad Objectives and Mission
The long term mission is to popularize the subspecialty of interventional Neurology among members of academy so as to create awareness and to attract fresh talent to take up Neurointervention.
Activities
The subsection aims at bringing interventional Neurologists across the country under one umbrella and to create a common forum for discussion. We are doing Interventional neurology session during our IAN conference. In association with SNVI conferences and workshops are organized. The subsection is also planning to start training courses for junior neurologists.

Any life member or life associate member of IAN
How to join?
- Login to your account, through the Login option at the top right corner
- Your Member account will open. In the Member tab, select the 2nd tab – Add Subsections
- Select the subsections of which membership is required and click on Pay Now
- Payment portal will open with option to pay using credit card / debit card / NEFT
- Onetime subscription fee is Rs 1,000 + GST = Rs 1,180 per subsection

Interventional Neurology subsection provides a forum for members of the academy to share their work, experiences, ideas and suggestions in the field of neurological interventions, thereby enhancing their motivation and sharpening their skills.
