IAN Runners group does IAN proud

The Indian Academy of Neurology called upon its members to celebrate the National brain week from 18th to 24th December with all enthusiasm and vigour. The IAN Runners group got involved with all its heart and soul and sent out an appeal to run safely near their homes, record with one of the fitness apps and send. A challenge was thrown at the group asking them to complete 3000kms in total The group took the gauntlet and logged 3109 kms of running in 8 days. Dr Suryanarayana Sharma, Convenor of the group and Dr Nirmal Surya, President-elect of IAN played pivotal roles in motivating the group to ace the challenge. A total of 58 neurologists from all over the country contributed in achieving this. Dr Jacob George, Dr Satish Kumar and Dr HK Anuradha, members of the IAN Runners group, were also speakers on “exercise and brain” during the CME series conducted by the IAN during the National Brain Week.
